If they stop the auctions without adding an appropriate replacement, then they are leaving the rate to chance with no way to support it. 11-13-2013 Newshound Guru Millionday this fantastic conference…is about the activation of the economic reform…it is going on now. the cbi gov addressed them today and now we have all business and trade bank there as well. iraq is selling bonds for the first time since 2003. bonds are used for asset prices and the economy support so the fact that iraq is selling them now as they reform shows that they are using them to support assets and help the economy through control…and also help with all other economic rates too. also, in the next…2 days…they are activating the social security and all other benefits with cash and be funding the citizens…and also the 19 through the 21st is the huge kuwait meeting with iraq to activate all trade and projects i would say this is coming with the entry to the world economically. 11-12-2013 Newshound Guru Kaperoni Article: “Finance is seeking to adopt the electronic system in banks” This is a great article because it clearly tells us their are two systems being implemented. 1. is the local “project chunk” that is connecting all banks and using cash machines/debit cards transactions. and 2. is the CBI project of credit cards and phone banking globally. IMO, …I do not think either of these systems will go online until after the currency change. Do it before would be a financial nightmare. So for the next 4 days look for this to happen, there can still be things to get in the way because it is political but it is looking very good for this to happen… The Rate is still in flux right now and no one will know the true rate until it shows but it should be a 2 plus rate…. Some feel that is a good thing for us while others contend it hurts us. What say you ‘ol wise one?] Depends…dropping the 0’s from the front of the exchange rate would increase the value to approximately .86:1, which would be fantastic…but it’s not likely. 11-7-2013 Newshound Guru Stryker we are waiting to see if the 2014 Fiscal Budget makes its way from the CoM where Maliki has been holding meetings to see how it can be moved forward to parliament. If the budget doesn’t not make it there by the 14th parliament will go on its one month break. Not good if we expect to see reform by January 2014. Let’s hope that on Tuesday the 12th (next meeting) parliament’s agenda includes some of the important laws…Iraq must have all their ducks in a row before currency reform can take place. On one side Maliki’s Press Office seems to want to push the story of a “complete embrace” by Washington – However… On the other side there seems to be a very different perspective. 1) Maliki put out press that he was going to a meeting with President Obama and discuss the future of Iraq…In fact, he met with President Obama very little. 2) Upon hearing this narrative by Maliki, Vice President Biden immediately invited ALL the opposition leaders – not a good sign for Maliki to have a series of “negotiations” in DC followed immediately by a visit with all of your opposition members. 10-28-2013 Newshound Guru Doc We are closing out October with much the same status as we started. The news has focused on some progress specifically passage of the Economic Reform Law by the CoM. This is indeed great to see. We still must exercise patience in that it is not law as of now. It still must go through parliament which we believe will not addressed until December. The HCL has been in the news but again most likely will not be addressed until December. With this the key infrastructure will not be in place “at any moment” and therefore our opinion remains that currency reform will not occur in the short term.
