Saudi media reported on Saturday that Iranian committees have been formed to discuss American proposals related to the nuclear file, following what they described as a “positive message” from US Vice President JD Vance, amid a positive atmosphere prevailing in the course of negotiations and expectations of a breakthrough in the coming period.

Al-Hadath TV quoted sources as saying that an Iranian delegation is in Qatar to discuss issues that require further clarification, noting that the ongoing discussions are taking successive steps, and the two sides have not yet reached a comprehensive proposal.

She added that Iran had requested guarantees regarding a permanent and comprehensive cessation of hostilities in exchange for opening the Strait of Hormuz, at a time when consultations were continuing regarding the American proposals and the nuclear issue.

The American website Axios revealed on Saturday morning that there are two conflicting demands hindering talks between the United States and Iran, following reports that a Qatari mediation delegation held talks in Tehran that lasted more than 12 hours.

The website quoted a US official as saying that President Donald Trump’s administration insists that Iran make nuclear concessions to resume negotiations, while Tehran demands the lifting of the US naval blockade, the release of its frozen funds, and permission to sell oil.
