Member of the State of Law Coalition, Imran Karkoush, confirmed that Iraq has sent clear and important messages to the countries that covet its lands, noting that Iraq’s ability to achieve security and stability and achieve victory over terrorism represents clear messages to other countries.
Karkoush told Al-Maalouma, “The Iraqi people and their security forces have the ability to maintain security and stability and are today fully prepared to deal with any emergency, just as they defended it in the past period against ISIS terrorism.”
He added, “The Iraqis have proven their ability to defeat terrorism and achieve victory, and this represents a big message to the regional countries to stay away from Iraq or covet its land and water and exploit its resources.”
He explained that “what happened in Syria and is happening today happened with the green light from some regional and international powers supporting these events, as some countries seek to expand at the expense of other countries, and this is something that Iraq has realized and has taken all security measures to ensure that these events are not exported to its lands.”
