MP Haider Al-Salami called on Friday for three paths after judicial rulings were issued against those involved in stealing tax deposits in the country.
Al-Salami said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “The theft of tax deposits is one of the issues that has stirred public opinion for many months. Recently, judicial rulings were issued against those involved in it, but it remains an unpunished punishment from our point of view because the thieves enjoy the money they have stolen while they are outside the country.”
He added that “recovering all the accused through communicating with the International Police, preventing their companies and agents from practicing any work inside the country, and confiscating their properties are paths that must be followed according to legal paths, stressing his respect for the judiciary’s decisions and the necessity of expediting the rulings in the remaining other lawsuits to deter the corrupt.”
It is noteworthy that the issue of tax deposits, known as the theft of the century in Iraq, is one of the issues that has stirred public opinion for many months.
