The leader of the United Anbar Alliance, Mohammed Al-Dhari, warned today, Wednesday, of the serious repercussions of choosing a company belonging to a country hostile to Iraq as the operator of the national mobile phone license project.
Al-Dhari said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency that “choosing the British company Vodafone as the operator of the national mobile phone license project is an illegal procedure and came as a result of pressures.”
He added that “the management of the communications file by a company hostile to Iraq is a very dangerous matter, especially eavesdropping and electronic hacking, and the concerned parties that allowed the selection of this company must be questioned and the project must be cancelled immediately,” indicating that “the offers of the concerned company are poor through research into its capabilities, in addition to the high cost of its services.”
He continued, “Britain’s hostile stances towards Iraq are well-known, the latest of which is its support for the Zionist entity in targeting the country.”
