Kuwait supports the Iraqi Development Road Project

Shafaq News/ The Kuwaiti Crown Prince, Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, announced his support for Iraq in the strategic development road project, which starts from Al-Faw to western Europe.
This came during a meeting between Sheikh Sabah Al-Sabah and Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid, on the sidelines of the United Nations Climate Conference (COP29), in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, according to a statement received by Shafaq News Agency.
Al-Sabah welcomed the development road project adopted by Iraq, and stressed that any growth or development that occurs in Iraq represents growth and renaissance for Kuwait and vice versa, pointing out the keenness to consolidate brotherly relations and cooperation with Iraq in various fields to achieve the interests of the two brotherly countries.
During the meeting, the depth of the relationship between Iraq and Kuwait was emphasized, as well as the keenness to resolve pending issues in a way that would enhance relations between the two governments and brotherly peoples.
The Iraqi President and the Kuwaiti Crown Prince expressed their keenness on the necessity for Iraq and Kuwait to have an effective role in the region through intensifying continuous meetings and setting common visions. His Excellency invited the Crown Prince to visit Iraq to see the development taking place in various sectors.
In turn, the President of the Republic pointed out that Iraq has historically had strong relations with Kuwait, noting that this requires the two countries to raise the level of bilateral relations and work together at the level of the region as a whole, indicating that what is happening in Lebanon and Gaza is not far from Iraq and Kuwait, and therefore appearing with a comprehensive vision constitutes a necessity in light of the challenges.
It was also agreed on the necessity of activating the joint committees by starting their meetings to discuss all points, according to the statement.
