Member of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Rashid Al-Salmani, announced today, Thursday, that the voting process to elect a Speaker of Parliament is proceeding smoothly and calmly without any legal violations being recorded.
Al-Salmani said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency that “the voting process to elect a new Speaker of the House of Representatives is proceeding smoothly and calmly amid political insistence to resolve the Parliament Speakership crisis during today’s session.”
He added, “All Sunni alliances attended today’s session to vote on resolving the crisis in the House of Representatives without the voting process witnessing the withdrawal of any of the political blocs or forces.”
