Statistics: 35,000 factories in Iraq have stopped operating due to lack of support

Shafaq News/ Economic expert Nabil Al-Marsoumi counted, on Sunday, the factories that have stopped in Iraq due to the lack of support they receive, and said that their number reaches 35 thousand.
Al-Marsoumi wrote in a post on social media site Facebook today, “There are 67,000 factories registered in Iraq with the Federation of Industries, 35,000 of which are closed.”
He added that the reasons for the shutdown of these factories “are related to the lack of support for fuel and electricity, and the opening up of imports for imported goods that receive government support in their countries.”
