After the recent escalation… American “warning” messages and government pressures on armed factions

Shafaq News/ Informed government sources revealed, on Saturday, that the Iraqi government received strongly worded warning messages from the American side regarding the recent operations of armed factions against Americans at a military base at Baghdad International Airport, as well as the escalation of military actions against Israel.
The sources told Shafaq News Agency, “Various officials in the Iraqi government received American messages during the past (48) hours that were strongly worded and threatened to target armed factions and even their leaders if the attacks on American interests in Iraq and the region continued, and if the factions escalated their military operations against Israel.”
The sources added that “the Iraqi government took these messages seriously, and is currently working to pressure the factions to prevent them from carrying out any operations against the Americans, whether inside Iraq or outside it in Syria, as well as demanding that they reduce military operations against Israel, and make them support operations without hitting any important targets in military bases and others inside the occupied territories. What happened in the Golan a day ago will not pass without a close military response to the factions involved in that operation inside Syria or inside Iraq.”
The informed government sources concluded that “Iraqi officials informed the faction leaders of a strongly worded American message, so that they take precautionary and security measures, fearing any targeting that may befall them in the coming days.”
