Shafaq News/ Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova described on Monday the “laughter” of US Vice President Kamala Harris as “frustrating” and “depressing.”
Addressing Russian President Vladimir Putin’s comments on the US elections and “support for Kamala Harris”, and his sarcastic reference to Harris’s laughter, Zakharova said on a TV show that there is a clear difference between positive, energetic laughter and a choking, depressing guffaw.
The Russian diplomat added: “There is laughter that infects others and is filled with good energy, and there is laughter that becomes a sign of something bad, and very depressing. I think the conversation was in this context,” according to what was reported by the Russia Today news website.

Putin had earlier sarcastically said that Russia was supporting Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in the US presidential election after incumbent President Joe Biden was disqualified from the race.
