Thousands of immigrants depart from Central America to the United States

Reuters reported that thousands of immigrants are heading from Central America to the Mexican border on their way to the United States.
The agency quoted the immigration authority in Guatemala that about 7000 to 8000 immigrants entered Guatemala from Honduras in the last day only.
US Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Mark Morgan said in an interview with US “Fox News”: “Two groups of immigrants, comprising more than 5,000 people, made their way to the United States, while one of them crossed the Guatemalan border.”
He added, “We expected this matter on the borders with the speech of the new American administration.”
