Shafaq News/ The President of Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, considered, during his meeting with the US Assistant Secretary of State, today, Wednesday, solving the problems of Erbil – Baghdad and the existence of laws for distributing revenues and for oil and gas, the key to solving Iraq’s problems and establishing security and stability in the country, stressing that Iraq, for the purpose of solving its problems It needs dialogue and understanding between the political parties and components, and the help of friendly countries.
And according to a statement by the region’s presidency that was received by Shafaq News Agency, Barzani received, on Wednesday, the US Assistant Secretary of State for Middle Eastern Affairs, Barbara Leaf, and an accompanying delegation.
The statement indicated that in a meeting attended by the US Ambassador to Iraq Alina Romanowski, the US Consul General in the Kurdistan Region and a number of American diplomats, they discussed America’s relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, the latest developments in the political situation in Iraq and efforts to overcome difficulties, Erbil-Baghdad relations and problems relationship between them.
