On Wednesday, the independent deputy, Basem Khashan, accused the current Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, of trying to disrupt the work of Parliament, maintain Mustafa Al-Kazemi’s government, and cover up its corruption.
Khashan said in a statement to “Information”, that “the current parliament is unproductive because of Al-Halbousi’s decision to suspend its sessions, and this is one of the grave mistakes that deepened the political crisis the country is going through,” blaming the parliament speaker “the responsibility for disrupting the legislative authority.”
He added, “There is an interest for Al-Halbousi related to keeping Al-Kazemi’s government for a longer period,” noting that “the disruption is also in order to cover up and cover up the corruption of Al-Kazemi’s government and its involvement in the Al-Rafidain Bank deal, as well as Al-Rashid and the Master Card deal that sold part of the country’s money to a foreign company.”
And the independent politician Sabah Shaheen had confirmed in a previous statement to “Al-Maalouma”, that the alliance of progress headed by Muhammad al-Halbousi would be the biggest loser in any upcoming elections. finished / 25 AD
