Member of Parliament Jassim al-Moussawi revealed on Thursday that there is widespread parliamentary determination to finalize the vote on the federal budget bill, stressing that the extension of the parliamentary session was specifically intended to complete this stalled process.
Al-Moussawi told the Information Agency, “The current stage requires the urgent passage of the budget law, given the numerous vital issues and files closely linked to its approval.” He pointed out that “the delay in passing the law has halted many development and service projects.”
Al-Moussawi added that “Parliament decided to extend its legislative session to utilize the time and complete the voting on all articles and clauses of the budget.” He emphasized that “approving the budget is an urgent necessity to complete development projects and stimulate investment.” He noted that “passing the budget has become an irreversible demand due to the disruption of all public and private interests and the economic damage inflicted on all citizens by the delay.”
