2-19-2013 Intel Guru Delta [via Leo] a free float will never work for Iraq because Iraq only has oil to export and oil is tied to the dollar. when the rate comes out it will basically shock a lot of people in a good way…I might be wrong!! I like to give you one last thing to think about, Iraq told the CBI they are going to print 28 billion dinar .. with a population of about 32 million people with a GDP of about 120 billion for the year .. in order to do that the rate has to be over $3.00 .. everyone will be happy .. don’t listen to those articles .. 2-13-2013 Intel Guru Ocrush So far there has been no hiccups with the parliamentary members to dispute what there leaders have agreed upon and brought forward to them. From what we were told the leader blocs are almost done with all the concerned items. In conclusion when there are no more items or lines in the budget to negotiate Mr. Nujaifi will have the power to approve the 2013 budget since its an open session. This process started on February 5, 2013. In other words instead of trying to negotiate everything at one time they piece mealed it to get maximum results and approve there concerns line by line thus the open session that started back in feb. 5, 2013. Shabibi made that decision 10 years ago to have Iraq have the dinar. Which obviously, they want being the richest country in the world to have the great buying power the dinar should have. If they choose to switch now, it would be 10 years down the drain lowering inflation, etc. Iraq will not become a dollar country. 2-10-2013 Newshound Guru Kaperoni We all know that the new plan now is a free float. But what is exciting is the actions taken by the CBI to confirm this. Just as…ending the currency auctions supported a “staging rate” of 1 to $1 or about, selling hard currency all over Iraq supports the float. These are clearly two different monetary policies. We are seeing the CBI aggressively sell dollars raising capital at banks and exchange centers in Iraq as the statement said…Iraq is going on the dollar now for a period of time. That period will more than likely be while the dinar free floats to a rate 1 to $1 or higher in the world marketplace. Then, once this is complete, Iraq will switch to a managed float, or pegged basket which is more stable and they can introduce the new smaller dinar notes, etc. And begin to dedollarize. 2-6-2013 Newshound Guru Adam Montana FACT ONE: the rate on the Dinar in 2003 was roughly .00027. In 2006 the rate was roughly .00068 ($680 per million). Today the rate is roughly .00086 ($860 per million). That’s about a 25% increase in the last few years, right? So if you bought in that period, you are ALREADY WINNING. FACT TWO: The DJIA (Dow Jones Industrial Average) in 2006 was at 10806, today it is around 13880. Those numbers look pretty similar to the Iraqi Dinar’s progress around the same time frame, don’t they? But guess what else happened in that same period… February 2009 the DJIA DROPPED to 7063, which was absolutely devastating to many.
