No movement up or down beyond that. That refers to the CBI site rate. Also, as I found out yesterday, the dealers WILL NOT get advance notice…Trying to gather information from a dry and quiet well. Everything supposedly is done and could happen anytime, but not continually hearing voices. So we wait, as usual.

Yes, hard currency is once again being drained out of Iraq but it should not have a noticeable long term effect on the currency value. It is hard to pass and it is expensive. I think this is intentional. But to us, IMHO, it is more of an aggravation than any real threat to the value of the currency and most likely will stop with the election of a PM who is not sympathetic or beholden to Iran. There are different opinions on both sides as to whether Maliki will be staying or going and Talabani is still alive and well and in Germany and is getting treatment for his back as for as I know. Turki is the acting figure head for the CBI. Basically, Shabibi is still calling the shots, he is still very much a part of things. The banks are on alert, as we are. That is the “single window system”. To participate in the window system, you HAVE to have an internationally recognized and tradeable currency. what do they need to have that? an rv. and it has to be PRIOR to opening and the window is open…as of yesterday. I think this is by far the most telling of anything so far.
