A member of the Victory Coalition, Aqeel Al-Rudaini, confirmed today, Monday, that holding early elections should be through a transitional government instead of the caretaker government headed by Mustafa Al-Kazemi, while noting that changing the commission, its law and its members is a major demand.
Al-Rudaini said in an interview with the Information Agency, “We are with the change of government or the election of a new government, and this is what we mentioned during our previous initiatives,” noting that “the next government that leads the new election process must be transitional for a year, a year and a half, or two years, According to the agreement of the political forces.
He added, “The survival of the caretaker government headed by Mustafa Al-Kazemi is not a prerequisite for holding early elections,” noting that “changing the election law, the commission, its members and its technical and administrative details is not only a requirement of the victory coalition, but rather the majority of political parties.”
A member of the Victory Coalition explained that “the Federal Court has directed the current parliament to change the electoral law after the chaos that occurred in the last elections,” warning the House of Representatives against returning to the current system to hold new elections called for by the majority of political forces.
The head of the Bayarq Al-Khair bloc, Muhammad Al-Khalidi, had confirmed, today, Monday, that the issue of dissolving the House of Representatives is subject to the agreement of the political blocs within Parliament in accordance with legal and constitutional frameworks, indicating that the agreement must be preceded by a dialogue in which all political forces participate in accordance with a comprehensive national consensus.
