An American newspaper summarizes an Iranian plan to establish a secret nuclear program - Trump will use forceShafaq News/ The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday that Tehran is trying to prolong talks with the United States in order to maintain a “secret nuclear program,” suggesting that the Trump administration will likely use military force against Iran.

The newspaper stated, in a report seen by Shafaq News Agency, that “the negotiations represent a real test for the US president, the Iranian Supreme Leader, and envoy Steve Witkoff,” considering that “although this has been the method followed for more than two decades, it will undoubtedly be the goal of the Iranian Supreme Leader’s regime.”

She noted that “Iran represents President Trump’s best foreign policy initiative during his second term, as he is reimposing the ‘maximum pressure’ sanctions campaign from his first term, which will reduce the regime’s income.”

The newspaper explained that “President Trump set a strict condition that Iran dismantle its nuclear program, similar to Libya in 2003, if it wanted to avoid a military attack. The president recently said that if they didn’t make an agreement, there would be a bombing, a bombing like they’d never seen before.”

She noted that “Steve Witkoff, Trump’s de facto Secretary of State, is the chief negotiator on Iran, and he proposed a more modest US goal ahead of the weekend’s talks: dismantling Iran’s nuclear program.”

The American newspaper suggested in its report that Iran’s nuclear facilities will likely not be dismantled, meaning Tehran will “deliberately prolong the talks, at which point the military option will emerge.”
