Oil Price - Iraq has exported 3.4 million barrels per day since the beginning of OctoberOilprice.com, a global oil market monitoring network, announced today (Monday, October 19, 2026) that Iraq’s daily oil exports have increased by about 750,000 barrels per day this month.

The network said that Iraq recorded exports during the past month that reached 2.65 million barrels per day, while global markets recorded Iraq’s export of about 3.4 million barrels of oil per day since the beginning of this month.

She added, “Iraq exports its oil via the Turkish port of Ceyhan, in addition to using Syrian ports by transporting oil via tankers. Iraq also relied on some giant oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz by using the Omani side.”

She continued, “Most Iraqi oil exports now pass to global markets through other outlets that bypass the Strait of Hormuz and the high financial costs imposed by tankers passing through it,” as she described it.

It is noted that, according to the network’s report, Iraq lost about 70% of its oil exports as a result of the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which forced SOMO to look for alternative export routes that contributed to the recovery of Iraqi exports to a great extent.
