Information/Anbar:
A security source in Anbar province revealed on Wednesday that US forces have deployed more watchtowers around the Ain al-Assad base in western Anbar.
The source told Al-Maalouma News Agency that “US forces have established new security fortifications around the Ain al-Assad airbase in the al-Baghdadi area of Hit district, west of Anbar, by deploying a large number of watchtowers around the building, despite it not having been subjected to missile attacks for a long time.”
He added, “US forces have deployed modern air defense systems, which are being installed for the first time around the Al-Assad base, days after the arrival of large military convoys from Baghdad and the northern provinces.”
He stated that “US forces have intensified aerial reconnaissance operations around the areas surrounding the base building, towards the Al-Qaim crossing, and reaching the areas deep inside Syria.”
