The ministry said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency that its minister, Abdul Rahim Jassim Al-Shammari, confirmed in a recorded speech the ministry’s keenness to develop the olive sector, diversify seedling production, improve production quality, and preserve genetic diversity.

For his part, the Iraqi ambassador to Spain, Ali Shamran, praised the efforts that contributed to this achievement, describing it as an important step to enhance international cooperation and expand agricultural partnership.

The Ministry of Agriculture affirmed that the return enhances Iraq’s presence in specialized international institutions, and supports local production, diversification of the agricultural economy, and sustainable development.
