The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Sabah al-Numan, declared on Saturday that the security services possess a complete and detailed information base on the remaining ISIS terrorist gangs, especially the first and second level leaders. Al-Numan stated in a statement to the official agency that “the security forces and their intelligence agencies possess a complete information base and detailed data on the remaining ISIS terrorist gangs, especially the first and second level leaders.”
Al-Numan added, “Under the directives of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, the Joint Operations Command has prepared a new strategy to eliminate the remaining ISIS remnants by continuing preemptive operations, pressuring them, tracking them, and pursuing them in multiple locations at carefully considered times based on available intelligence.”
Al-Numan also emphasized that “the security operation that led to the killing of the so-called governor of Iraq and Syria, Abdullah Makki, came after the noose was tightened around him, and represented a devastating blow to the terrorist ISIS, as he represented a link and communication with what remained of ISIS inside and outside Iraq.”
Al-Numan revealed that “ISIS is attempting to regroup in preparation for carrying out terrorist operations outside Iraq, having lost its strength and capabilities inside Iraq. It is now heading to carry out terrorist operations in the Sahel region of Africa.”
Al-Numan also explained that “there is an intelligence effort by the intelligence service and the counter-terrorism service, with the support of the international coalition. In addition, arrests were carried out by the Kurdistan Regional Security Council, and previous operations paved the way for this major operation, especially the Lions’ Leap operation carried out in August of last year, during which more than 14 ISIS leaders were killed during a meeting in the Anbar desert. Important documents were obtained that strengthened information about the so-called terrorist governor of Iraq and Syria, Abdullah Makki.”
Al-Numan continued, “After the operations were completed, there was high-level field, intelligence and information coordination, in addition to the major role played by the Iraqi judiciary, and also high-level coordination with Kurdistan Security, which was able to arrest five terrorists after the governor’s killing. This was in addition to the airdrop carried out by the Counter-Terrorism Service, through which it was able to arrest seven terrorists, including two women who represented a link between the terrorist Abdullah Mekki and other parties, in addition to their role as a source of logistical support and conveying messages between the terrorist Abdullah Mekki and his followers.”
Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani announced yesterday, Friday, the killing of the terrorist Abdullah Makki, who holds the position of governor of Iraq and Syria. Mr. al-Sudani said in a post on the (x) platform – followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Iraqis continue their dazzling victories over the forces of darkness and terrorism, as the heroes of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, with the support and coordination of the Joint Operations Command and the International Coalition Forces, were able to kill the terrorist Abdullah Makki Musleh al-Rifai, nicknamed (Abu Khadija), who holds the position of the so-called (Deputy Caliph, who holds the position of the so-called governor of Iraq and Syria, the head of the authorized committee and the head of the foreign operations offices).” He added, “The terrorist is considered one of the most dangerous terrorists in Iraq and the world.”
He concluded his remarks by saying, “We congratulate Iraq, Iraqis, and all peace-loving peoples on this important security achievement.”
