Coordination Framework - Al-Kadhimis attempts to run in the elections are doomed to failureInformation / Special..
Today, Thursday, the representative of the Coordination Framework, Firas Al-Muslimawi, described the return of former Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi to Iraq and his attempt to run in the upcoming parliamentary elections as a “failed attempt,” stressing that Al-Kadhimi faces accusations of major corruption files that prevent him from entering the electoral race.

Al-Maslamawi told Al-Maalouma, “Al-Kadhimi’s return at this sensitive time confirms his desire to run in the upcoming elections,” noting that “all his attempts to return to the political scene through the House of Representatives will fail.”

He added that “Al-Kadhimi’s government did not achieve any noteworthy accomplishment for the Iraqi people, but rather was content with issuing promises without implementing them,” noting that “the comparison between his government and the government of the current Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, shows a huge difference, especially with the major projects launched by the current government to serve citizens.”

The MP pointed out that “the corruption files associated with Al-Kadhimi, including what is known as the (Deal of the Century), make him ineligible to run in the elections,” stressing that “the Iraqi people have great political awareness and will seek to choose national figures away from the corrupt.”
Al-Kadhimi’s return is nothing but a failed attempt to restore his influence, after he plunged Iraq into crises and left behind a legacy of corruption and mismanagement.
