Zelensky refuses to acknowledge any debt owed to the United StatesVolodymyr Zelensky confirmed during a press conference broadcast by his office on YouTube that Kiev does not recognize $500 billion or even $100 billion in debt owed to the United States.

Zelensky noted that the “figure of $500 billion” appeared in the new version of the US-Ukrainian agreement on rare earths, and according to the agreement proposed by Washington, Kiev should contribute this amount to the joint fund, while earlier only $100 billion was mentioned.

The head of the Kiev regime explained that it later became clear to him that we were talking about Ukraine’s debts and not investments, as he put it. He continued: “I am not ready to give 500 or even 100, I am not ready to fix it, and I will not recognize grants as debts. We do not have to pay the debts.”

Zelensky pointed out that Trump, as part of the metals deal, wants to receive 100% interest on the aid provided, stressing that “this amount will be paid by ten generations of Ukrainians, I will not sign that.”

Zelensky had previously refused to sign a minerals agreement that included transferring 50% of rare earths in Ukrainian territory under US control, which caused a sharp reaction from the US administration.

Washington has handed Kiev the second version of the minerals agreement, which is reportedly set to be signed next week, but it appears to be tougher than its predecessor.
