Member of the State of Law Coalition, Imran Karkoush, commented on Sunday on the statements of the US Congressman who revealed reports confirming that the US government funds terrorism with an amount of up to 697 million dollars.
Karkoush said in a statement to / Al-Maalouma / Agency, that “this admission is not new,” noting that “many prominent American figures, such as Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, have indicated in the past that ISIS is an American creation.”
He added that “Iraq is paying the price for these American policies, as it has been exposed to massive destruction due to terrorist operations funded directly or indirectly by Washington,” indicating that “the United States has exploited these terrorist groups in international conflicts to serve its own interests.
” He called on “Parliament to form specialized committees to follow up on this issue and investigate local parties that may have benefited from this funding,” demanding “the government to take effective measures to ensure that this funding, which poses a threat to the country’s stability, is stopped.”
