The head of the regulatory body of the popular movement, Hussein Ali Al-Karaawi, revealed today, Saturday, the existence of American pressure to pass the amendment of Article 12 of the budget law.
Al-Karaawi told / Al-Maalouma / agency, “The amendment of Article 12 of the budget law guarantees the disbursement of $ 16 for the cost of extracting oil from the Kurdistan region, provided that the aforementioned amount is deducted from oil sales in the region.”
He added that “there is American pressure exerted on all parties and informed them of the necessity of passing the budget amendment in tomorrow’s session, amid the insistence of the Front of Representatives of the Center and the South not to pass it, and here the Council of Representatives places itself between being an independent Iraqi and being subordinate and complying with the orders of the Black House.”
He pointed out that “the amendment of Article 12 relates to the demands of American companies that have financial dues estimated at $ 5 billion in the Kurdistan region.”
