UNAMI issues a clarification regarding Plasschaert’s departure from Iraq

Today, Wednesday, the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) responded to what it described as “misleading information” regarding the departure of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, from Iraq.
UNAMI said in a statement, “It would like to set the record straight regarding the misleading reports that have recently been circulated in a number of traditional Iraqi media and social media regarding the departure of Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission.” Iraq (UNAMI) in May.
