A security source inside the Ain al-Assad base building in Anbar Governorate confirmed on Sunday that American forces suffered heavy losses at the Ain al-Assad base due to Iraqi resistance strikes.
The source said in a statement to the Maalouma Agency, “The Islamic Resistance’s strikes on the Ain al-Assad air base building in the Al-Baghdadi district of Hit district, west of Anbar, yesterday, Saturday, led to inflicting heavy material losses on sites and military buildings of the American forces inside the base building after they penetrated all the fortifications on the base building.” The air defenses failed to confront the missile and drone attacks,” stressing that “the statements broadcast by the American forces about confronting the Islamic resistance attacks on the Al-Qaeda building due to the air defenses are baseless and not based on credibility.”
He added, “The bombing operations also led to the death and injury of a number of its soldiers. The number could not be confirmed due to the strict measures imposed by the American forces on their locations inside the base building.”
He pointed out that “the resistance missiles sparked terror, fear, and hysteria among the American forces, whose air defenses failed to confront the resistance attacks after they penetrated the security fortifications.”
He explained, “The whirlwind of smart weapons possessed by the American forces has become just a lie in the face of missile attacks.”
It is noteworthy that the American forces inside the building of the Ain al-Asad base, west of Anbar, were subjected “two days ago” to two separate attacks with two drones and 5 missiles within one day.
