Former member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Muhammad Al-Shabki, expected, on Sunday, that the budget would be passed in the middle of this week, indicating that the Finance Committee had completed the last items related to the budget.
Al-Shabki said, in a statement to Al-Maalouma, that “the budget is nearing completion, and it is waiting for a date to be set for passing it in the middle of this week.”
He added, “The delay in the budget affects the country’s financial and economic situation, and the current problems around the budget items are similar to the problems of Article 11 in the 2021 budget.”
He pointed out that “the Kurdish dispute continues and cannot be resolved because of the Democratic Party’s insistence on not paying the money and leaving the region’s budget paragraphs unclear and can be interpreted.”
And the deputy of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Muhammad Al-Baldawi, had announced the approval of the region’s delegation to the conditions of the Parliamentary Finance Committee regarding Kurdistan’s share of the federal budget.
Al-Baldawi said, in an interview with Al-Maalouma, that “the delegation of the region that negotiated with the Finance Committee returned to the capital, Baghdad, with the approval of the Kurdistan Democratic Party on the points proven by the parliamentary finance.”
