Economist: The Workers’ Insurance Law will enhance citizen confidence in the private sector

Economic affairs researcher Hisham Al-Baydani explained that the Social Security and Retirement Law for Workers will enhance citizen confidence in the private sector, which will relieve pressure on the public sector as well as demands by graduates for appointments in ministries and state departments.
Al-Baydani told Al-Maalouma, “The law that is expected to complete the vote on its paragraphs, which exceeded 100, will contribute to strengthening the citizen’s confidence in the private sector, provided that it is applied in practice, as it will reduce the pressure of appointment demands on the public sector.”
He added, “The Social Security and Workers’ Retirement Law will provide a motivation for nearly 10 million workers and employees in the private sectors, and it can even open the door for immigration from the government job to the private sector.”
And he indicated that “the law was long overdue, especially since the current law was enacted in the seventies of the last century, and it no longer fits the reality of work in the country, and today it is an opportunity to prove the implementation of the government’s program to encourage the private sector.”
