The representative of the coordination framework, Muhammad Al-Saihoud, confirmed today, Friday, that the Parliamentary Finance Committee held a series of meetings with ministers and officials in order to reduce the budget deficit before proceeding with voting on it, pointing out that the government did not express its objection to the procedures of the Finance Committee.
Al-Saihoud said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “The Finance Committee is working on holding meetings with all ministers in order to reduce their expenditures to reduce the deficit rate, which exceeds 60 trillion dinars.”
He added, “The Parliamentary Finance Committee is expected to have finished its meetings with ministers and independent bodies by the end of this week, to be followed by submitting the budget to the House of Representatives for the purpose of voting on it.”
And he indicated that “the government has responded to the procedures of the Parliamentary Finance Committee and the House of Representatives, in order to produce the budget in the best way and reduce the financial burdens and the deficit in it, as the government did not express its objection to the procedures of the Finance Committee.”
