Today, Thursday, a member of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Al-Baldawi, called on the political blocs regarding the decision of the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, regarding the dismissal of general managers, and while he called for replacing “old minds”, he revealed new details regarding some governors.
Al-Baldawi said, in an interview with Al-Maalouma Agency, that “the decision of the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, to dismiss general managers, agents, ministers, governors, and special grades, and replace them, is a decision that everyone must rush forward with to correct the course of work of state departments.”
He added, “The old lagging mentalities that were unable to change anything during 20 years in Iraq must be replaced, rather they did not provide anything,” indicating that “the real reality will not be represented by talking about a government, political will, and parties, but rather by judging general managers, ministers, and special grades.” according to existing performance.
The member of the House of Representatives explained, “Some governors are still clinging to their position since 2013, which was represented by the last elections for the provincial councils until today,” wondering, “What was this governor able to present during this period?”
Al-Baldawi stressed, “Whoever was unable to provide anything for his province and recover its reality, what can he do within six months?”
And the Council of Ministers, headed by Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, had decided during Tuesday’s session to dismiss the first batch of general managers, who numbered 57 people from various ministers, with the position of agency or authenticity.
