The spokesman for Kata’ib Sayyid al-Shuhada, Kazem al-Fartousi, confirmed on Sunday that it is impossible for the American forces to stay in Iraq for a longer period, indicating that the resistance factions are awaiting the government’s position in order to act to expel those forces.
Al-Fartousi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma agency, “The survival of the American forces in Iraq is just a matter of time, and tomorrow we will see it soon.”
He added, “There is a popular rejection of the presence of any foreign forces on Iraqi soil in any form, indicating that the political crisis the country went through prompted the resistance factions to give an opportunity to Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani in order to form his government and provide services to citizens and await his position towards those forces.” .
He explained, “There is a parliamentary confirmation of the government scheduling the American withdrawal from Iraq according to specific timetables.”
And the representative of the Sadiqoun Parliamentary Bloc, Hassan Salem, had accused, in a previous interview with the information agency, the American occupation, of continuing to support terrorist groups ISIS with money and weapons.
