Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani affirmed, on Monday, openness towards developing partnership with Saudi Arabia in the economic, investment, energy, coordination and climate sectors.
His media office said, in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, received, today, the Saudi Minister of Trade, Majid Al-Qasabi and his accompanying delegation, and the meeting witnessed a review of the overall prospects for cooperation between the two countries, and ways to develop bilateral relations, for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples. .
The statement quoted Al-Sudani as affirming, during the meeting, openness towards developing partnership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in various sectors, especially those related to the economic and investment aspects, as well as cooperation in the field of energy and coordination in facing the effects of climate change, and the efforts made to limit its repercussions on the region.
In turn, Minister Al-Qasabi conveyed, at the outset of the meeting, the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the Prime Minister, stressing the continuation of work within the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council, which includes cooperation between the two countries in the economic, investment, tourism and security fields. , and other fields.
Al-Qasabi arrived in Baghdad today, Monday, and was received by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning Muhammad Tamim.
