Today, Tuesday, the Al-Fatah Alliance accused the United States of using many files to blackmail the government of Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani, including the dollar crisis, while stressing that America took the agreement to export oil to Jordan through the Basra pipeline – an obstacle, one of the conditions for resolving the dollar crisis.
A member of the coalition, Muhammad al-Hayani, said in an interview with Al-Maalouma agency that “America used the Federal Bank’s procedures to impose its own interests on Iraq,” noting that “Washington took the agreement to export oil to Jordan through the Basra pipeline – an obstacle that is one of the conditions for resolving the dollar crisis.”
And he continued, “The procedures of the Central Bank of Iraq were very weak, and this is what helped America to continue its hegemony over Iraq in the previous period,” noting that “Iraq is not against laying its pipelines, but the decision must be central and in the interest of the country in the first place.”
And he went on: “Washington used the dollar file as a pressure card after the failure of many of the papers it pushed in the previous period,” stressing that “America was and still is fighting Iraq in many economic, security and political papers to pass its interests.”
Many parties had accused America of putting pressure on Iraq in order to guarantee Israel’s interests by completing the agreement on oil at reduced prices with Jordan through the Basra-Aqaba pipeline, given that Jordan borders Israel from large areas.
