For this reason, a security expert warns of Iraq’s continued dependence on America

Today, Saturday, security expert Aqil al-Taie warned against Iraq’s continued dependence on America in the security aspect, adding that the expansion of Iraq with international agreements and France in particular will cause a major shift in the security aspect of the country.
Al-Taie said in an interview with Al-Maalouma agency that “the agreement with France, a pioneer in the field of armament and military development, will be a transition at the level of the security aspect of Iraq,” noting that “there is a prior agreement about equipping Iraq with radars and modern air defense systems.”
And he added, “There is no point in Iraq continuing to rely on America on the security side after its failure at all levels,” pointing out that “such agreements will limit the American presence inside Iraq at the level of combat forces and training courses.”
And he continued, “Iraq lacked, in the past period, the diplomacy that Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani is carrying out with the countries of Europe and the East,” noting that “international agreements must be supported by the political forces and parliament in order to complete their implementation on the ground.”
The independent politician, Abbas al-Maliki, told Al-Maalouma that “America dominates the Iraqi economy through the transfer of Iraq’s money from oil imports to the American federal account,” noting that “Iraq’s orientation towards Europe and the East will enhance its international standing and enable it to gradually get rid of American hegemony.”
