The deputy of the Sadiqoun Parliamentary Bloc, Uday Awad, revealed, on Saturday, that precautionary measures were taken to prevent the travel of the former prime minister and his government ministers, based on the principles of criminal trials and the Integrity Commission law.
Awad said in an interview with “The Information”, that “the members of the House of Representatives demanded the presidency of the Council to direct the Integrity Commission to take precautionary measures to prevent the travel of the former prime minister and his government ministers and seize their movable and immovable funds.”
He added that “there is an official request addressed to the presidency of the council, asking for consideration of constitutional, financial and administrative violations to investigate officials in the previous government on suspicion of corruption.”
He pointed out that “serious abuses committed by Al-Kazemi and members of his government against state funds,” calling for the need to “accelerate the reservation of Al-Kazemi and issue a decision to prevent his ministers from traveling and investigate them in suspicions of corruption and wasting public money.”
A member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Alia Nassif, revealed that the Financial Supervisory Bureau had directed an inventory of all accounts of the previous chance government, and corruption would not escape from it.
