Putting them to the test - The law requires Sunnis and Kurds to take a courageous stanceInformation/special.
Today, Sunday, the State of Law coalition called on the Kurdish and Sunni forces to take a courageous stance and to go ahead with the option of dissolving parliament or forming a government, while the leader of the Sadrist movement al-Sadr put his former allies to the test after the last call.

And coalition MP Aref Abdul-Jalil said, in an interview with the “Information” agency, that “the Kurdish and Sunni parliamentarians are required to take a courageous position and proceed with either the option of dissolving parliament or forming the new government,” noting that “watching and waiting for sedition is an dishonorable position.”

He added, “Al-Sadr’s last tweet in which he asked his former allies to withdraw put them to the test,” noting that “the leader of the Sadrist movement asked his allies to take a stand, not to stand on the hill.”

The MP from al-Maliki’s coalition explained that “we have not seen a serious position or initiative from the Speaker of Parliament, the head of the Sovereignty Alliance, Muhammad al-Halbousi, or the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani, and those with them, and this position is calculated against them.”

He continued, “Our partners in the country must be brave in their decisions during the completion of the constitutional cycle and the holding of the parliament session to choose the president of the republic and assign the prime minister chosen by the coordinating framework.”

The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, had earlier called on the former allies of the Sunni and Kurdish forces to move towards submitting the resignation with the House of Representatives, and to proceed with the decision to dissolve Parliament.
