Representative of the National Movement of My Country, Zahra Al-Bajari, confirmed, on Thursday, that there is no opposition to holding early elections in accordance with legal and constitutional controls after the formation of the government.
Al-Bajari said in an interview with “Al-Maalouma”, that “the parliament cannot be dissolved without legal and constitutional controls that provide for the formation of a government and the approval of the overdue budget and then to go to early elections,” stressing that “it is necessary to proceed with what the Federal Court decided to amend the electoral law.”
She added, “A government must be formed in order to approve the 2023 budget in order to activate the stalled projects and resolve the currently aggravating crises.
And she added, “The commission needs to change and form a new one, and also allocate funds for it to run the new elections if they are agreed upon by all political forces.”
And the representative of the State of Law coalition, Jassem Al-Moussawi, said in a previous interview with “Al-Maalouma”, that “all the political blocs with which the Chairman of the Negotiations Committee met in the coordination framework Hadi Al-Amiri called for proceeding with the constitutional entitlements and respect for the law, stressing that” working within the law and the constitution concludes the process.
