The leader of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Muhammad Al-Tamimi, confirmed, on Friday, the inability to hold any early elections without resolving the fate of the law and the Electoral Commission.
Al-Tamimi said in an interview with “Information” that “a large part of the crisis and political blockage in Iraq is due to the election law due to the large gaps, and this matter is supported by most of the country’s political elites at the present time, stressing that the large objections after the results are the best evidence of that.”
Al-Tamimi added, “Al-Fateh and the rest of the framework forces support any political path that leads to stability in Iraq, including holding early elections, but they must be preceded by important steps, which are changing the law and the electoral commission, and this matter can only happen through the return of parliament sessions, in addition to the importance of having a government A new one that manages important files and walks the affairs of citizens.”
He pointed out that “Al-Fateh and Al-Attar do not have any concern about holding early elections, but the most important thing is that they be in an appropriate atmosphere and a safe and stable environment that gives flexibility for voters to cast their votes.”
And the coordinating framework with all its might supported the principle of holding early elections in the country if they lead to a solution to the current crisis in the country.” Ended 25 February
