Legal expert Ali Al-Tamimi confirmed, on Sunday, that parliament sessions may be moved to any place and any Iraqi governorate, which is the prerogative of the Speaker of Parliament.
Al-Tamimi said in a statement to / the information /, that “the Speaker of the House of Representatives has the authority to transfer parliament sessions in any Iraqi governorate and in the provinces of the region in reference to Article 21 of the Parliament’s internal system, which said Parliament sessions are held in Baghdad and can be held in other places when necessary.”
He added that “the sign can be held in other places, where the word places in it means inclusion of all provinces, even the provinces of the Kurdistan region, which can be held when necessary in any province other than Baghdad.”
