Salah Boushi, a leading figure in the State of Law Coalition, revealed the coalition’s official position on Wednesday regarding the parliamentary session scheduled to vote on the deputy prime ministers and the remaining vacant ministerial posts. He emphasized that the position is based on the firm principle of respecting political agreements and proceeding with the completion of the cabinet, avoiding any obstructionist tactics.
In an exclusive statement to the Information Agency, Boushi said, “The State of Law Coalition’s position stems from a firm principle of respecting political agreements and fully adhering to the agreed-upon entitlements, ensuring the completion of the cabinet and enabling the government to fulfill its constitutional duties and responsibilities.”
He added, “National understandings are not temporary or tactical positions subject to political whims; rather, they are genuine commitments that must be respected and built upon to achieve stability.” He clarified that “dealing with the parliamentary session scheduled to vote on the deputy prime ministers and fill the remaining ministerial positions must be based exclusively on what has been agreed upon, with full consideration of the constitutional procedures and parliamentary mechanisms adopted within the parliament.”
Bushi emphasized that “the rule of law is approaching this sensitive national matter with a sense of political responsibility and the country’s best interests, not with escalation or obstructionist tactics,” noting that “the stability of the government and the completion of its executive structure are urgent and essential for the proper functioning of all state institutions and for addressing current economic and service-related challenges.”
