The member of the bloc, MP Hassan Faddam, said in a press statement: “There is a new movement within the House of Representatives from youth representatives from the Shiite blocs to pressure the leaders of their blocs for the purpose of specifying that the prime minister-designate is completely different from his predecessor,” explaining that “the specifications include being a young man And within the job service according to the retirement law, and that he is from the interior and does not have any dual nationality, and his name has not been proposed as a candidate in the past, and that he is not rejected or controversial, in addition to other specifications.
He pointed out that “these young deputies formed a front like in the parliament, and they began their work on Friday with meeting Shiite political leaders, to communicate the idea that any candidate who does not meet these specifications will be rejected by them inside Parliament, regardless of their blocs”, noting that “meetings are continuing Among the political leaders since Muhammad Allawi’s apology for assigning the prime minister to this day, several names have been proposed, some of which have been excluded, and others are under study by the political parties.
The Prime Minister, Adel Abdul Mahdi, has announced his resort to the option of voluntary absence from the meetings of the Council, calling on Parliament to hold an extraordinary session.
