Shafaq News/ Financial expert Hilal Al-Taan warned, on Thursday, of a rise in the exchange rates of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar during the next four days.
Al-Taan told Shafaq News agency, “The dollar will witness a gradual increase during the next four days, with the approach of Eid al-Adha,” expecting that “it will reach 150,000 dinars for every 100 dollars.”
He added, “The rise comes with the Eid al-Adha holiday, which will extend for 6 days, during which the central bank will stop conducting the currency auction, in addition to the demand of citizens to travel outside Iraq, which leads to an increase in demand for the dollar in the local markets.”
Dollar prices rose during the two days, recording 146,850 dinars on the main stock exchange, compared to 100 dollars.
