US soldier killed in Iraq under ‘mysterious circumstances’

The American military magazine Military Magazine revealed, Friday (January 3, 2025), the “death” of a 34-year-old American soldier in Iraq as a result of what it described as “mysterious circumstances.”
The magazine said in a report that “the American soldier from the US state of Indiana, who was stationed in Iraq with forces affiliated with the US National Guard, was killed last Saturday in mysterious circumstances, as the military authorities refused to reveal the details of his death, merely indicating that it “occurred in a non-combat incident.”
The magazine pointed out that “American reports appeared during the last half of last year, confirming the existence of military operations carried out by American forces in Iraq despite the official announcement of their suspension in advance, which coincided with the American Pentagon’s announcement of the presence of forces in a number greater than what was officially announced, amounting to only 2,500 soldiers.”
The military authorities, according to the magazine, confirmed that they “will publish the results of the investigation into the soldier’s death once it is completed, refusing to answer the magazine’s questions about his involvement in military operations inside Iraq.”
