Al-Safi indicated that Iraqi ports have completed all preparations to accommodate the expected increase in international shipping traffic, noting that Iraq has become an important “transit” center for transporting goods between Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

He stressed the importance of the Al-Faw Grand Port and Development Road projects, noting that these two projects have become an international requirement and an urgent necessity to ensure the safety of navigation and maritime transport routes in the world.
