Shafaq News/ The Cabinet has adopted the official position issued by its Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi regarding the Federal Court’s decision regarding the Food Security Law.
This came during its eighteenth regular session of the Council of Ministers, which was held today, Tuesday, headed by Al-Kazemi, according to a statement received by Shafaq News Agency.
During the session, they discussed the general situation in the country, a number of different economic and service files, and follow-up mechanisms for implementing government decisions and recommendations taken in previous cabinet sessions.
Al-Kazemi was briefed on the progress of the measures taken to confront the global economic crisis, and discussed all ways to mitigate its effects on Iraq.
In the context of the session, he hosted the Council of Ministers in charge of managing the Ministry of Electricity, which briefed the Council on the ministry’s preparations for the summer and its ability to face the great challenges that Iraq is witnessing in general, and to work on finding alternatives to address emergency cases.
The council discussed the needs of the Ministry of Electricity and recommended providing them. To ensure that any potential crisis is prevented.
The Cabinet approved the following:
Approval of the recommendation of the Ministerial Council for Energy (9 for the year 2022) as follows:
Cancellation of the Ministerial Council of Energy’s decision (59 of 2020) and Cabinet Resolution (295 of 2021) regarding the implementation of projects of the Ministry of Electricity, and the treatment of listed (continued) projects with funding fundamentally until the issuance of the Federal General Budget Law for the fiscal year / 2022.
The Council of Ministers hosted the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, First Lieutenant-General Abdul-Amir Al-Shammari; To see the overall security situation in the country, as well as to identify the needs and requirements for improving security performance and developing its quality.
In this regard, the Council approved the following:
– Approval of what was stated in the letter of the Office of the Prime Minister No. (2207730) dated May 10, 2022, on the request of the Joint Operations Command regarding securing the protection of the international road of Kilo 160 – Trebil, regarding financing the Ministry of Finance an amount of (287,8950000) dinars only two billion eight hundred and eight Seventy million nine hundred and fifty thousand dinars, to the office of the Prime Minister, in implementation of paragraphs (1 and 2) mentioned in the letter of the Federal Office of Financial Supervision No. (1/1/15/2443) dated February 3, 2021, attached to the decision of the Council of Ministers (15 for 2022) and transfer the funds to the Joint Operations Command.
The session witnessed a review of the epidemiological report and the procedures of the Ministry of Health; To confront the Corona pandemic, and the Ministry’s efforts to secure all the necessary requirements for treatments and vaccines.
After the Council of Ministers discussed the topics on the agenda, it issued the following decisions:
First / Financing the Customs General Authority to meet the requirements for implementing networking in implementation of paragraphs (1 and 2), mentioned in the letter of the Federal Office of Financial Supervision No. (1/1/15/2443) dated February 3, 2021, attached to linking the Council of Ministers Resolution (15) for the year 2022).
Second / Approval of the recommendation of the Ministerial Council of Economy regarding the approval of postponing the work of Paragraph (2) of Cabinet Resolution (360 of 2017), which is concerned with obligating taxi owners to add a liquid gas system as a condition for the registration and updating of these vehicles, for a period of two years, provided that this decision is re-implemented Again, starting from April 1, 2024; This is taking into account the economic conditions of citizens, with the General Traffic Directorate, during this period, educating citizens about the economic and environmental importance of adding a liquid gas system to vehicles.
Third / Waiver of debts owed by the highly qualified returning displaced persons covered by Cabinet Resolution (441 of 2008), as a result of the application of the Customs Tariff Law No. (22) of 2010 (Part One), based on the provisions of Article (46) of the Federal Financial Management Law No. (6 of 2019) as amended, and Cabinet Resolution (28 of 2020).
Fourth / The Ministry of Finance financed an amount of (1,000,000) dinars, one billion dinars only, to Anbar Governorate to complete the procedures related to the Arar border port, in implementation of paragraphs (1 and 2) mentioned in the Federal Financial Control Bureau letter No. (1/1/15/2443) dated On February 3, 2021, the facilities link the Cabinet Resolution (15 of 2022).
Fifth/ Approval of the recommendation of the Ministerial Council of Economy regarding the marketing of the wheat crop, according to the following:
– Increasing the price of receiving the wheat crop for the current season exclusively to become 850,000 dinars, only eight hundred and fifty thousand dinars per ton, instead of 750,000 dinars, only seven hundred and fifty thousand dinars, for the current marketing season, including wheat previously delivered within the current marketing season.
