Leaders in the Dawa Party are moving to widen the party parties in order to maintain the post of prime minister as an electoral entitlement.
Informed sources in the party talked about “the intention of the party to ensure the premiership during the next government,” asserting “there is movement within the call to unite the wings of al-Maliki and Abadi to maintain the presidency.”
The sources added that “the unification of Maliki’s wing with Abbadi guarantees the Dawa Party to retain the premiership again, and uniting them means losing this merit.”
She added: “The meeting to this moment has seen a positive atmosphere, and it is possible to unite the party again in the coming days, and be a political and parliamentary bloc with greater weight during the dialogues and negotiations between the political forces.”
It is noteworthy that some of the leaders of the party raised a lot of controversy after media statements considered that Iraq can not lead.
