The Al-Fateh coalition led by the Secretary General of the Badr Organization, Hadi al-Amiri, on Wednesday gave Prime Minister-designate Mustafa al-Kazimi a week to make adjustments to the cabinet.
A source in Al-Fateh said in a press statement, “There is discomfort with the Al-Fateh Coalition from the Prime Minister-designate because of the wrong policy he took during the formation of the cabinet and making concessions to some parties in exchange for their confidence in the House of Representatives.”
He added, “The Hezbollah Brigades informed the Fatah leadership of its refusal to assume Al-Kazemi as prime minister, and also confirmed that it will take other measures if Al-Kazemi gets the confidence of Parliament and is able to form his government.”
The source pointed out, “The Al-Fateh Alliance gave the Prime Minister-designate a week to correct its course and make adjustments to the cabinet cabinet in his government before it was sent to Parliament.”
Al-Kazemi has the support of most of the major political forces in the three Shi’a, Kurdish, and Sunni components, and has promised to give confidence to his government formation through its parliamentary blocs in the House of Representatives.
On April 9 this year, President of the Republic Barham Salih authorized Al-Kazimi to form the government within 30 days, less than an hour after the former Prime Minister-designate, Adnan al-Zorfi, announced his apology for this task.
