The deputies of the “ Saeron ” coalition led by Mr. Muqtada Al-Sadr and the largest in the Iraqi parliament announced Saturday their support for the Prime Minister-designate, Adnan Al-Zarfi.
Riyad Al-Masoudi, a deputy for “Saeron”, confirmed in an official statement to the Iraqi National News Agency, “their support to form the new government as soon as possible, headed by Adnan Al-Zarfi,” noting that the latter “will proceed with the procedures for forming his government despite the opposition of some Shiite political blocs to him.” .
And the position of the Sadr alliance comes in contrast to the Shiite political blocs, which stressed its rejection of Adnan Al-Zarfi, claiming that he is “unconstitutional” at times, and that he is “close to the United States” at other times.
